The Ray-Ban Justin RB4165 is one of the most modern and casual designs inspired by the Wayfarer look. Its injected plastic frame, often with a matte or rubberized finish, offers a comfortable, contemporary and highly recognizable style. Replacing only the lenses lets you keep your original frame while restoring sun protection, visual clarity and the unmistakable Ray-Ban look.

Before placing your order, check the reference engraved on the inside of your temple. You will usually find an inscription similar to this:
RB4165 601/71 55□16
In this example:
- RB4165 indicates the sunglasses model.
- 55 indicates the lens size.
- The middle code, such as 601/71, identifies the frame and/or original lens color.
You must always choose the same size shown on your frame. Sizes 51, 54 and 55 mm are not interchangeable.
These lenses are not compatible with Ray-Ban Wayfarer RB2140, New Wayfarer RB2132 or other similar models. Although they may look alike, the shape, edge profile and fit of the lens are specific to the RB4165 Justin.

Original Ray-Ban lenses

Can I change the color or choose polarized lenses?
Yes. You can choose a different color from the one originally fitted to your sunglasses, as long as the replacement is compatible with the RB4165 Justin model and with the exact size of your frame.
You can also install a polarized version if it is available in your size. Polarized lenses help reduce annoying glare caused by roads, water, snow or glass, making them a highly recommended upgrade for driving, travel and everyday outdoor use.
Gradient, polarized and mirror lenses
Gradient lenses are darker at the top and lighter at the bottom. They offer an elegant look and comfortable vision for urban use.
Polarized lenses reduce glare and improve visual comfort in bright conditions. On polarized variants, the logo may appear as Ray-Ban P.
Mirror lenses have a reflective coating on the outside, create a bolder look and help reduce the intensity of visible light.
Justin frame with matte or rubberized finish
The Ray-Ban RB4165 Justin uses an injected plastic frame with no screws around the lens. Lens replacement is done by pressure fit. On many versions, the frame has a matte or rubberized finish, so we recommend handling it carefully to avoid marks, scuffs or deformation.
The frame material may offer some flexibility, but it should not be forced excessively. Incorrect pressure can make proper lens fitting more difficult or damage the finish.

Installation of Ray-Ban RB4165 Justin lenses
Replacing the lenses in Ray-Ban RB4165 Justin sunglasses can be done at home with care. This model uses an injected plastic frame with no screws around the lens, so the lenses are removed and installed by pressure fit.
The Justin frame may have a matte, soft-touch or rubberized finish. For that reason, we recommend handling it gently at all times, with clean hands and without using metal tools directly on the surface.
Before you begin, make sure your sunglasses are the RB4165 model and that you are using lenses compatible with the correct size: 51 mm, 54 mm or 55 mm.
Recommendations before you start
- Work on a clean, stable and well-lit surface.
- Use a microfiber cloth or soft fabric to protect the frame and lenses.
- Do not use metal tools directly on the frame.
- Do not force the lens if it does not fit properly.
- Check first that your sunglasses are the RB4165 Justin model.
Using gentle heat
On this model, it can help to apply gentle heat with warm water or a hair dryer on medium temperature for a few seconds, especially if the frame is cold or stiff.
Do not apply excessive heat or hold the hair dryer too close, as this could deform the frame or damage the matte or rubberized finish.
Basic steps to replace the lenses
- Hold the frame firmly, but without bending it too much.
- If needed, apply gentle heat so the frame becomes slightly more flexible.
- To remove the old lens, press carefully from the inside outward.
- Insert the new lens by starting with one of the upper areas of the frame.
- Align the entire edge of the lens with the inner groove.
- Press the rest of the lens into place gradually, using firm but controlled pressure with your fingers.
- Make sure the entire edge is properly seated in the frame groove.
- Repeat the process with the other lens.
The lens must sit completely in place, with no gaps or raised sections. If you feel too much resistance, if the lens does not fit correctly, or if you are unsure how to carry out the replacement, we recommend visiting an optician or contacting us before forcing the installation.

Not sure how you don’t have reviews yet. So I would like to start off that I never leave reviews on anything but for how happy am with my experience, I have to.
So I ordered the Dark Blue Polarized and that is exactly what I received. In my package came two authentic Ray Ban lenses with the little sticker and laser etched RB on them. They popped in easily and they look amazing. I would post a picture if it let me upload one.
The price is only a little bit more than the after market ones you find posted else where (which are crap). This is the real deal and 100% worth it.
