Ray-Ban replacement arms — also called temples — are the factory spare parts that replace a broken or bent side piece, attaching to your frame front at the original hinge. A broken arm doesn’t mean the end of your Ray-Bans: in most repairs we handle, the frame front and lenses are perfectly fine. This category brings together every Ray-Ban arm we stock — over 760 references covering sunglasses and prescription frames. Whether you call them temples, arms, side pieces, ear pieces or simply the “legs” of your glasses, if Ray-Ban made a frame with them, you’ll almost certainly find the spare here.
We stock two ranges, and the right one depends on your frame and your budget:
| Feature | Original Ray-Ban Arms | Compatible Ray-Ban Arms |
|---|---|---|
| Branding | Ray-Ban logo and factory engravings | No logo (neutral finish) |
| Manufacturer | EssilorLuxottica factory part | Third-party, made to fit |
| Color match | Exact factory color code | Closest available match |
| Price per pair | Higher (factory part) | Lower |
| Sold as | Pair (left + right) | Pair (left + right) |
| Screws | Not included | Not included |
| Best for | Restoring the frame to factory condition | A quick, budget-friendly fix |
A simple rule from our workshop: if your frame is a recent model you plan to keep for years — or a color that’s hard to match, like Havana tortoiseshell — go original. If you just need the glasses working again at the lowest cost, the compatible range does the job.
Every Ray-Ban prints its identity inside the temple arm: model number (e.g. RB2140), color code, lens size and temple length in millimeters. Use the Ray-Ban Model filter on this page to jump straight to your frame. If the printing has worn off, send us a photo through our Help Center — our opticians identify frames every day, free of charge.
One thing to watch: sunglass and prescription (RX) versions of the same model can use different hinges, so a sun temple won’t always fit the optical frame. Each product page states exactly which version the arms fit — and the Use filter (Sun / Vision) narrows the category for you.
Prescription wearers are covered too — from everyday optical frames like the RB5228 and RB7017 to Junior sizes, and even the Scuderia Ferrari collection. And if it’s your Oakleys that need help, we carry Oakley replacement arms as well.
All our Ray-Ban arms ship as a matched pair; screws are not included (add them as an extra or reuse yours). Fitting them takes a few minutes with a precision screwdriver: our 3-in-1 mini screwdriver covers the common Ray-Ban screw heads, and our step-by-step tutorial on how to change Ray-Ban temples walks you through the whole swap. If only the rubber tips behind your ears are worn, you may just need new temple tips instead of full arms. And if the lenses are scratched too, our Ray-Ban replacement lenses complete the full restoration in the same order.
We ship worldwide every working day, with free standard shipping on qualifying orders to the USA, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada and tracking included. And if the arms don’t fit your frame, you have 14 days to return them — though the easiest path is to send us your frame code before ordering, so we confirm compatibility first.
What customers ask us most before ordering.
It is the last number of the reference on the inside of the temple, for example 145 or 150 (millimetres).
Yes: right and left temple in the chosen colour.
No, but you can add them as an extra on each model's product page.
With standard shipping and parts in stock, 1-4 business days to Spain and Portugal, 1-13 to the rest of Europe and 9-20 to the USA and Canada. If any part is made to order, preparation takes 3-6 business days and you will see it at checkout. Standard shipping is free on qualifying orders within Europe and every order is tracked. If you are in a hurry, express shipping arrives in 1-6 business days in Europe and 2-11 in the rest of the world. See the delivery time for your country on our shipping page.
Original arms are the exact factory part — same logo, color code and finish as your frame. Compatible arms cost roughly half and fit the same hinge, but carry no logo and match the color as closely as possible rather than exactly. For frames you love and plan to keep, original; for a fast economical fix, compatible.
Not always. Some models use different hinges on the sun and optical (RX) versions, so check the product page — each listing states which frame version the arms fit. Use the Sun/Vision filter to narrow your search, or ask us if in doubt.
You’re covered by our 14-day return policy. To avoid the round trip entirely, send us the code printed inside your temple before ordering and we’ll confirm the exact match first.
Unscrew the hinge, remove the broken arm, seat the new one and tighten the screw — under five minutes per side. Our guide on changing Ray-Ban temples shows every step with photos.
