Installing Ray-Ban RB2140QM lenses
Before installation, check the temple arm: the model must be RB2140QM or 2140QM and the size must be 50. If either detail does not match, do not force the lenses into the frame.
The RB2140QM is an acetate-style frame with a leather covering, so the lenses are normally pressure-fitted. Gentle, controlled heat can help the rim expand, but avoid overheating the leather or twisting the frame.
Start by seating one area of the bevel and apply gradual pressure until the lens sits fully in the groove. Do not use metal tools directly on the glass or on the leather edge.
If you have no experience fitting glass lenses or you feel too much resistance, take the frame to an optician. A professional can install the lenses without marking the frame and check the final fit.
