Installing Ray-Ban RB2185 replacement lenses
Before installation, check that your frame is marked RB2185 and that the selected size is 52 or 55. A similar-looking lens from another model will not seat correctly.
On acetate frames, lenses are usually fitted by pressure. Apply gentle, controlled warmth, such as lukewarm water, so the rim becomes slightly more flexible, then press the lens in gradually without forcing the bridge or corners.
Metal frames are normally opened with the rim screw; rimless frames should be handled by a professional. Folding frames require extra care around the hinges.
