How to install Ray-Ban RB4085 lenses
Before installation, check the inside of the temple and confirm that your sunglasses are marked RB4085 and size 68. This prevents forcing the lens or fitting the wrong size.
On metal frames, lenses are usually replaced by loosening the rim screw. On acetate, plastic or nylon frames, the lens is generally pressure-fitted; gentle warmth from lukewarm water or moderate air helps the frame expand slightly so the lens seats without stress. Do not use excessive heat and never force a cold frame.
For rimless, semi-rimless, folding or delicate hinge designs, professional fitting is strongly recommended. If your frame has opened up or warped from heat and use, an optician should adjust it before the new lenses are installed.
