Installing Ray-Ban RB4098 replacement lenses
Before installation, check the inside of the temple arm and confirm that your sunglasses are RB4098 in size 60. This prevents forcing a lens into the wrong frame.
On acetate, plastic or nylon frames, lenses are normally fitted by pressure. Gentle warmth can make the frame more flexible: use lukewarm water or a hair dryer on a low setting, keeping heat controlled and even. Seat one edge of the lens first, then work around the groove without twisting the frame.
Metal frames usually require loosening the rim screw. Rimless frames should be handled by a professional, as the mounting points are more delicate. Folding or special-hinge frames also require extra care around the hinge area.
If the lens does not go in smoothly, stop and do not force it. Ask an optician or contact our workshop so we can check compatibility and advise on fitting.
