Which Aviator do you have?

Look on the inside of the arms for a code such as RB3025 001 55□14 135. RB3025 is the model, 001 the frame colour, 55 the lens size in millimetres, 14 the bridge and 135 the arm length. To choose lenses you only need the model and the lens size.

The best-known Aviator is the RB3025 Aviator Large Metal, made in 55, 58 and 62 mm. The RB3026 Aviator Large Metal II comes in 62 mm, the RB3044 Aviator Small Metal in 52 mm and the RB3689 Aviator Metal II in 55, 58 and 62 mm. Aviator models look alike, but each lens is made for one model and one size, so order by the code on your arm, not by the photo. If you cannot read it, measure the lens from side to side at its widest point, or send us a photo and we will identify it.

Original or compatible?

Original lenses are made by Ray-Ban for each Aviator model and carry the Ray-Ban logo. On classic models such as the RB3025 they are mineral glass, in the colours Ray-Ban makes for that model: G-15 green, gradients, mirrored and polarized lenses, among others. We have been a certified EssilorLuxottica distributor since 2018 and we sell them exactly as they leave the manufacturer: we do not cut or modify original lenses.

Compatible lenses are not made by Ray-Ban and do not carry the Ray-Ban logo. We cut them in our workshop in Granada, Spain, to the shape of each model, in polycarbonate with UV400 protection. They cost less and also come in photochromic and clear versions. There are compatible lenses for the RB3025, RB3026, RB3689, RB3422Q, RB3479, RB8313, RB8313M and the RX6489 optical frame.

How to replace Aviator lenses

On metal Aviators such as the RB3025, each lens sits in a rim closed with a small screw. Loosen the screw with a suitable screwdriver, change the lens and tighten the screw again gently. Do not use heat on these frames, and do not force the lens or bend the frame front. If you have no experience, an optician can do it for you.

Which lens size is my RB3025?

The number just before the □ on the inside of the arm: 55, 58 or 62 mm. In RB3025 001 55□14 135, the lens size is 55 mm.

Can I fit lenses from another Aviator model?

We do not recommend it. Each lens is made for one model and one size, even when the frames look alike. Order by the code on your arm and, if you are unsure, send us a photo.

Are your original Aviator lenses genuine Ray-Ban?

Yes. They are made by Ray-Ban and carry the Ray-Ban logo. We have been a certified EssilorLuxottica distributor since 2018, and we do not cut or modify original lenses.

Are Aviator lenses glass or plastic?

It depends on the model. The original RB3025 lenses are mineral glass, and each product page shows the material. Our compatible lenses are polycarbonate.

Can I get polarized Aviator lenses?

Yes: original Ray-Ban polarized lenses on the models that offer them (the RB3025 comes in green, brown, black and blue polarized, among others), and compatible lenses with Polarized Plus or Polarized Elite.

Do you make prescription Aviator lenses?

Yes, for the RB3025, RB3026, RB3689, RB3422Q, RB3584N, RB8313, RB8313M and RX6489. They are made to measure in our workshop and are not original Ray-Ban lenses.

What warranty do the lenses have?
